How Chocolate Is Made

This post will explain how chocolate is made. From cocoa pod to chocolate itself. This is what I used to get my information from: https://vimeo.com/121506041
Please leave me any feedback with what I can do to make this better, thank you!

Beach Poem

Foam tipped waves crash down
Onto the white grains of sand.
Turquoise ribbons slither from the sand
Back to the wide ocean.

Feet race across the sand
As people race to the sea.
People grab their surfboards
Racing into the waves.
They topple off laughing,
And scramble onto their boards again.

Children play in the sand,
Building large sandcastles and other things.

Seagulls ride the wind
Looking around for food.
Some dive down, snatching chips from little babies.

Soon it’s time to leave the beach,
And everyone goes home exhausted but happy,

To wash sand out of their hair and clothes.

Lord of the Flies Essay

This is an essay I did on a book called Lord of the Flies. It hasn't been proof-read yet and I'd appreciate if you gave me suggestions or feed back.

~~~
Lord of the Flies is a novel by William Golding. It’s about some boys who had to get on a plane to escape
from war back at their home. When the plane crashes they are left on an island without any adults. At
first they’re happy to be alone without any adults, but when a ‘little’un’ says something about a beast,
terror starts to set in and the boys start to fight over leadership and out of fear and greed.
They have to survive the island, fear and themselves. There are multiple symbols in the book and the
two symbols I will be choosing is the Conch and The Lord of the Flies because, they are almost
opposites.
The conch shell in the story lord of the flies represents civilisation and order which is what they
tried to start at the beginning of the book.
The conch was used to call meetings by blowing through it. Ralph used the conch to summon all
possible survivors on the island who survived from the plane crash. Soon they started to make rules
and, Ralph says at the start of page 25 that they can’t all talk at once so, whoever held the conch would
be allowed to speak only allowed to be interrupted by Ralph. When Piggy dies and the conch is shattered
chaos explodes out and Jack and the savages try to kill Ralph, like when the conch shattered the last
bit of civilisation and order shattered along with it.
The lord of the flies represents chaos and evil. It was created by Jack cutting off a pig’s head, and
then putting it on the end of a stick that was sharpened on both ends and stabbed into a crack
into rock.
The Lord of the Flies is a main part in the books and it’s linked to the beast. The Lord of the Flies is a
pig’s head that was cut off after a hunt. It was created on page 106 with Jack saying that “This head is
for the beast. It’s a gift.”  Jack’s hunters then left, leaving the pig’s head impaled. At the end of page 106
Simon ‘meets’ the Lord of the Flies and talks with him a little bit. The Lord of the Flies starts to call him a
silly boy on page 111. The Lord of the Flies also tells Simon he’s not wanted and that they were going to
have fun. The pig’s head was shown again on page 144 when Ralph stumbled across it. Ralph seems
to know it represents evil and he strikes out in it out of fear and hatred destroying the skull. Soon later,
a naval officer comes along to rescue the boys and it makes it seem like when the evil was destroyed,
they would be rescued.
The conch and the Lord of the Flies are two of the many symbols hidden in the book Lord of the Flies.
While the conch represents order and civilisation the Lord of the Flies represents chaos and evil which
makes them almost complete opposites.
Limerick Poem
This a limerick poem. The / represents a stressed note while the x represents an unstressed note. The numbers at the end are how many syllables there are in each line.
There was an old man from Norway, 8
He smashed his head on the doorway. 8
Family Dinners
This is a poem I did about Family Dinners.
Family Dinners
Carrots tastes like chicken; everything does, apart from bacon.
Burnt bacon, is a great crispy treat.
Parsnip, kumara, pumpkin and brussel sprouts either look odd or sound weird to say.
Family dinners are about sitting together, laughing, cracking jokes and eating mouth-watering food.
There’s always chatter around the table while we wait for the food.
During family dinners, everyone usually has fun, whether their family is big, small or in between. We
spend the time talking about our day, what went wrong and what was good about them.
That’s why family dinners are cool.
